Good care starts
with clear expectations.
Please review these details before your visit. Call or text the team with questions about your pet’s needs.
Appointments & arrival
Mobile appointments allow a one-hour arrival window. Please keep your phone available. Spa clients should arrive at the agreed time. As dogs are not crated at the spas, early drop-offs require prior agreement. Please collect pets promptly after the service.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Please call or text at least 24 hours in advance for non-emergency changes. Late changes are subject to a $99 fee per pet, payable before the next appointment. The fee also applies if nobody releases the pet within 15 minutes of the mobile groomer’s arrival. Reminder messages are scheduled 72 hours ahead. Email and social messages are not accepted for cancellations or rescheduling.
Vaccination records
Bring current records for salon visits and confirm the required documents with the team. Rabies documentation is required for dogs and cats above six months. Have any DHPP and Bordetella records ready as well and ask the team to confirm what applies to your pet. A veterinarian’s exemption letter is accepted under the published policy. Mobile service does not require vaccination proof under that policy. Discuss individual circumstances before booking.
Coat condition & matting
Estimates depend on the actual coat, grooming time, temperament, pests and handling needs. Mats require extra care and sometimes shaving or referral to a veterinarian. A matting shave requires an owner waiver. Continued service for a repeatedly matted coat requires a regular grooming schedule.
Double-coated dogs & cats
Short all-over clipping or shaving of double coats is generally excluded. Medical exceptions require a veterinarian’s note, and severe matting needs an assessment. Veterinary grooming might be recommended. Cats are accepted only at the salons and are not shaved unless necessary.
Products & additional care
Good Dog uses Iv San Bernard grooming products. A flea or tick wash adds $10 and addresses pests on the pet at the time. It is not preventative protection. A three-step dry-skin package adds $10. Discuss suitability with the team and follow veterinary advice for skin or parasite concerns.
Prices & payment
Payment is due at service. Cash, card, check and Zelle are accepted. Card payments carry a fee and a card on file is sometimes required for mobile payment. Ask how additional time is billed and request a full estimate. Returned checks incur a $20 fee.
When a service is stopped
A groomer reserves the right to stop if necessary for the pet or groomer’s welfare. The published charge is the work completed or the $115 minimum house call fee, whichever is higher. Discuss any known handling or health needs before the appointment.
